Here are the ....... SHOES!!

At The Wedding Place, you asked, we delivered!
Come in and check out our new shoe department featuring gorgeous dyeable and metallic shoes!
Now only are the shoes dyable, we have the "dye artist" in staff. What does that mean to you? It means no pointing to a color in a swatch book or waiting for your shoes to be sent away somewhere to be dyed. The shoes are custom dyed right in our boutique. There are some fantastic colors that can't be found in the swatch books, like the rich shades of iridescent taffeta.
Whp doesn't love a terrific pair of shoes. They complete the whole outfit!
Come in and see our growing selection. There are also some great purses that will match as well. If you want a sneek peek of all of the styles available, click here 0n Colorful Creations.

New at The Wedding Place..... Dyable Shoes!

Just when we, at The Wedding Place, are busy getting ready for the Bridal Extravaganza at the Grand Wayne Center on Sunday, Feb. 22nd, the newspaper scoops our new department!

We will now be selling custom dyed shoes! We have heard your requests, and we have the talent to do this. Tesia, from the former Shoe of A Different Color, is now a welcomed part of our staff. She is the artist who does the custom matching! She's amazing with it, experienced as she is talented!

Here's the article that was run in tonight's News-Sentinel http://www.news-sentinel.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090213/LIVING/902130307

The shoes will be here for the show next weekend and in our booth! Oh yes, do register there.... We are giving away a pair of free shoes for the bride in our exclusive drawing! Come and see these fabulous shoes!

And even tho they scooped us, thanks to the News-Sentinel and Cindy Larson for her terrific news story!!!! That's what news does. Cindy, thanks for the announcment in a very public way!!!

Look But DON'T BUY

The Winter 2009 issue of "In Style Weddings" is on the newsstands. So are lots of copies of wedding magazines with different titles. What makes this issue unique, you ask???

On page 314 there is an article titled "I Thee Web" It's the first article I've seen written this well about planning your wedding online. While online is a GREAT place do do wedding research, there are just some things that should not be done online. This article addresses these things.

Under the section Look But Don't Buy they talk about ordering gowns online. Here's a quote:

"Unsavvy brides can wind up heartbroken when a cheap copy arrives from a discount e-tailer. Always deal with reputable real-life boutiques. Remember, given how different gowns can look (and fit) in person, you must try them on. Period."

Beautifully said, "In Style Weddings"!!! This same advice also applies to bridesmaid's dresses, for all of the same reasons! With bridesmaid's gowns you're dealing with so many more people and the fit and quality of the garment is very important! Each bride I've assisted lately seems to have at least 2 or more bridesmaid's out of town too, it is very normal. This is further complicated by online ordering!

Take it from the professionals. Gown buying is a very dangerous thing to do online! It can be very expensive too as the perceived savings aren't there! Or you have to reorder a new gown as the online gown is unwearable!

Do your homework online, look at the gorgeous gown photos online. Then head to a real bridal salon for the fun and worthwhile experience of trying them on and choosing what is right for your wedding! And yes, I've heard these online brides horrow stories first hand!

The photo above is a brand new arrival at The Wedding Place. It's created by 2 Be Bride. We love it!
